KONY 2012

     Do you know anything about Joseph Kony? If you know Joseph Kony, you will be more likely to know about KONY 2012. This essay is going to be about him, Joseph Kony, and the movement to stop him, KONY 2012. Also, this essay is going to include my opinions, of course because it is a argumentative essay. So first, I will talk about Joseph Kony, and  KONY 2012. Second, I will talk about the economical disadvantage of KONY 2012, and third, finally, I will talk about the reason I argue KONY 2012 is not a good movement.

     First, Joseph Kony is a criminal who had lost humane duty. He had kidnapped innocent children and made them either suicide, or kill their own parents for over 20 years. He brainwashed terrorism to the kids. It was only to keep his authority. KONY 2012 is a project which is made to make Joseph Kony famous, and to get many people to support arresting Joseph Kony. The purpose of this project is very nice, even though I disagree. Innocent kids who are getting kidnapped, forced to kill people and brainwashed terrorism needs to be protected. They do not have any fault and they have rights to be grown as a kid, not a soldier. But however, I do not agree with this movement, because of the following reasons.

       There are economical disadvantages. I do not agree with KONY 2012 because of the financial problem. The kit they sell, which is called the Action Kit, are including several posters and some pictures of Joseph Kony. These Action Kits are sold in 17 dollars, but the estimated value of this kit was only about 5 dollars. Not only that, as the result of the statistics, 68 percent of the contribution are used in the salary of the people running the project, and in the maintenance fee. Only 32 percent of the money contributed are used for kids in Uganda.

     Economical disadvantages and financial problem are not the most serious thing. But the second reason, which is the main reason that I am going to say right now, is the biggest reason I disagree with this. As I said before, KONY 2012 is a project to make Joseph Kony famous, and to get many people to support arresting Joseph Kony.But what what people need to do first is to help kids in Uganda. Think about it. Would it be easier to arrest a top criminal, or would it be easier to move kids from Uganda to a safe place. Of course the second one. Kids there would really want to be protected and would really want to get away from Joseph Kony and his army. I hope people know what they should to do first.

     As a conclusion, I disagree with the movement KONY 2012. I disagree with it because of the financial problems, and the people not prioritizing that needs to be prioritized as I was keep saying before. If there are people wandering to get in the KONY 2012 or not,  I would not suggest it. It will be your economical loss. Well, I don't want to force it, tough. I hope this essay of mine would be an opportunity to think about KONY 2012 and if it is reasonable or not.
